Back-End is a multilingual Web publishing/content management system. Articles, links, and photo galleries can use a common hierarchy, with the look and feel defined using templates. Content administrators manage the content of the Web site through a browser based editor as text, HTML, Wiki, or using a WYSIWYG editor. Add-on modules include on-line advocacy tools and a bibliography.
Badge allows users to display a simple graphical "badge" that signifies membership with a particular group or project in a weblog signature. It is the digital analogue of an "I Voted" sticker, or the countless other bumper stickers given out by non-profit groups. Badge is a reasonably secure system for adding images to weblog singatures in a controlled way. IMG tags are generated dynamically by the weblog software, and since IMG tags are not normally allowed in weblog singatures, this should be pretty hard to forge. The Badge "server" generates the badge image on the fly.
Bazaar is a Web content hosting system. It is a framework designed to support modular resources, such as forums, voting booths, journals, file repositories, and more. It was originally based on WWWThreads, and began as a Web forum system used by several courses for Athabasca University, but as requests for new features came in, its focus needed to be changed. It is now a robust framework that is easily extensible using the module system.
