FireHOL a simple yet powerful way to configure stateful iptables firewalls. It can be used for almost any purpose, including control of any number of internal/external/virtual interfaces, control of any combination of routed traffic, setting up DMZ routers and servers, and all kinds of NAT. It provides strong protection (flooding, spoofing, etc.), transparent caches, source MAC verification, blacklists, whitelists, and more. Its goal is to be completely abstracted and powerful but also easy to use, audit, and understand.
LinuxConsole is a live and modular Linux distribution that can be started from CD/DVD, hard disk, floppy disk, USB disk, or network card (PXE). The use of "console" in the title doesn't mean that it is started in "console" mode, but is meant to symbolize the simplicity of using it. This distribution is as simple to use as a game console: you can start applications without installing them. It is modular: there is a common base (device detection, GUI) and optional modules for multimedia, communication, and servers. The goal is having a very fast startup (less than 20 seconds), very good hardware detection, and many applications available (not just games).
Easy Hosting Control Panel for Ubuntu is designed for hosting multiple domains on a single machine. It aims to be easy to install and use, simple, and functional. It currently supports Apache, DNS, MySQL, FTP, and email configuration. It mainly uses the apt-get install system, so it can be installed on any Debian-based distribution, including Ubuntu. It features one-click installs, subdomains, password protected domains, email forwarding, domain transfer to another user, multiple templates, server backup and restore, and different menus for the server administrator, reseller, and domain administrator.
wview is an application that controls a supported weather station to retrieve archive records and current conditions. Archive records may optionally be stored in a relational database (MySQL or PostgreSQL). At a user-defined interval, wview will use the archive history and current conditions to generate weather images (buckets and graphs) and Web pages based on configurable HTML templates. It supports serial and USB data loggers, as well as connectivity with a terminal server or serial server via TCP sockets.
Podget is a simple podcast aggregator optimized for running as a scheduled background job (i.e. cron). It features support for downloading podcasts from RSS and XML feeds, for sorting the podcasts into folders and categories, for importing podcast URLs from iTunes PCAST files and OPML lists, automatic M3U and ASX playlist creation, and automatic cleanup of old podcasts. It also features automatic UTF-16 conversion for podcasts hosted on Windows servers.
xSite generates static XHTML and CSS Web albums from image directories, making use of JPEG/EXIF comments in the images instead of external databases. It will also generate an RSS 2.0 feed for the resulting album. xSite is not a photo management tool by itself, so must use something else for tagging, editing, and organizing your images. The project's goals are simplicity, ease of use, and standards compliance in the output.
SQLIer takes an URL vulnerable to SQL injection attacks and attempts to determine all of the necessary information to build and exploit an SQL injection hole by itself. It requires no user interaction unless it can't guess the table/field names correctly. By doing so, it can build a UNION SELECT query designed to brute force passwords out of the database. It does not use quotes in the exploit, meaning it will work for a wider range of sites. An 8 character password (containing any character from decimal ASCII code 1-127) takes approximately one minute to crack.
Frankenwall is a bash shell script intended to create a highly secure IPTables based Linux firewall/router with QOS/traffic shaping/bandwidth management. Be certain you know exactly what your network needs before using it. The primary focus of this project is security through an intimate understanding of your networking requirements. All configuration is done by editing text files.
