TongueTied is a Web based application that helps with the creation of keywords with support for multi-language or multi-region resources. One of the key features of TongueTied is that it allows static resources to be exported from the application and can import translations from resources into the application. The following formats are currently supported for both export and import: Java Properties, .NET Resources (.resx), CSV, and Excel. TongueTied integrates an optional work flow around a keyword to track changes to a translation and ensure the validity of that translation. Operators are allowed to query a translation if they believe it to be incorrect.
The DPML SDK is a management platform for Java-based component development, resource management, and deployment. It is composed of the Transit resource management layer, the Depot multi-project build system, the Metro component management runtime engine, and the Station application management console.
cstrings is a lightweight internationalization tool for C code. It is useful for those who find gettext too bulky and intrusive. It extracts strings from a program, and turns them into #defines in a prepended code section. It has good features for building up your message base incrementally.
IP::Country is a tool for fast lookup of country codes from IP addresses. Finding out the country of a client using only the IP address can be difficult. Looking up the domain name associated with that address can provide some help, but many IP address are not reverse mapped to any useful domain, and the most common domain (.com) offers no help when looking for country. This module comes bundled with a database of countries where various IP addresses have been assigned. Although the country of assignment will probably be the country associated with a large ISP rather than the client herself, this is probably good enough for most log analysis applications, and under test has proved to be as accurate as reverse-DNS and WHOIS lookup.
Java+ is a Java preprocessor that adds its features to any Java compiler. It has long, multi-line strings with executable inclusions like Perl or Ruby, optionally segregates Java+ strings into ResourceBundle files, eliminates the need for JSP or ASP and their implied need for Java compilers on deployment servers (a security concern), and adds absolutely no overhead in either space or time. There are graphical and command line interfaces, and a simple, general, and recursive string syntax.
Encdec encodes and decodes C objects such as integers, IEEE754 float and double values, times, and internationalized strings to and from popular binary formats and a wide variety of character encodings as they might appear in various file formats or network messages. It is compiled directly against the libiconv sources.
