Java+ is a Java preprocessor that adds its features to any Java compiler. It has long, multi-line strings with executable inclusions like Perl or Ruby, optionally segregates Java+ strings into ResourceBundle files, eliminates the need for JSP or ASP and their implied need for Java compilers on deployment servers (a security concern), and adds absolutely no overhead in either space or time. There are graphical and command line interfaces, and a simple, general, and recursive string syntax.
Archetypes is a framework for developing new content types in Plone. The power of Archetypes is first in automatically generating forms, second in providing a library of stock field types, form widgets, and field validators, third in easily integrating custom fields, widgets, and validators, and fourth in automating transformations of rich content.
The XView4Struts project is an extension to the Jakarta Struts Framework. Its main purpose is to eliminate the need to use tag libraries and JSP pages. The view is pure HTML, and interaction between the view and the model is transparent to the developer. This approach offers faster development, better division of work, a more pure MVC design pattern, reusable view components, and easier maintenance.
i18nHTML is a collection of scripts that can be used to write Web pages that visitors can translate into their respective native languages. It uses a database to match sentences from the Web page against translations and defines a set of PHP functions that generate either the translated HTML sentences or the original (typically English) text with decorations that allow users to provide translations. It requires that internationalized pages be written using the functions but does not constrain the page design in any way. Internationalized pages can be updated without losing existing translations for sentences that were not changed.
The zen Platform is a Java development environment for J2SE/J2EE. It eases and accelerates the Java application development by visual methods (RAD). Complete applications can be modelled in an intuitive fashion without the need for technical expertise. The complexity of Java and J2EE programming is tremendously hidden - reducing the learning curve for Java novices. Java experts are by no means restricted - they may apply their knowledge without limitations. Application flexibility is a core feature of the platform, which is delivered as an Eclipse plugin.
