The CSets collection is a set of mapping tables between various character sets and Unicode, and is intended to provide mappings not included in most character set conversion tools available today. The origin of this distribution was several projects that involved text encoded in many obscure character encodings. Many of these encodings are not supported in the most frequently used character set conversion tools (i.e. iconv), so this package was put together to provide the encoding information in a simple, consistent format.
Easy I18N is a library that integrates GNU gettext with the JVM's internationalization facilities. Existing Java APIs (MessageFormat, DateFormat, Locale) are used to provide a much easier API for building and maintaining applications and Web apps. It includes the ability to use normal message strings in your code, use xgettext to auto-extract translatable strings, leverage the GNU gettext system and associated tools to manage translations, work with date, currency, and numeric input/output, supports thread-local Locales for Web apps (or global for apps), and more.

FastFormat is a C/C++ output and formatting library whose design parameters are complete type-safety, efficiency, genericity, and extensibility. It is simple to use and extend, highly portable (to any platform or compiler), and it upholds the C tradition of you only pay for what you use. FastFormat supports output and formatting of statements of arbitrary complexity, consisting of heterogeneous types. FastFormat writes to output "sinks", which can be of arbitrary type.
Flexible Localization is a .NET/Mono library for string-based user interface localization. It offers a hierarchical structure (which can be partially loaded) to organize the strings, as well as support for several independently-localized modules. Localization files are validated against a localization declaration which defines the actual strings that are expected to be in the localization files. The strings themselves can be parametrized and evaluated based on expressions (i.e., different strings can be returned by a localization, based on parameter values).
