GPP is a general-purpose preprocessor with customizable syntax, suitable for a wide range of preprocessing tasks. Its independence from any programming language makes it much more versatile than cpp, while its syntax is lighter and more flexible than that of m4. The syntax is fully customizable, which makes it possible to process text files, HTML, or source code equally efficiently in a variety of languages.
AePro is a compilation manager for programs written in progres4gl. It compares modification times and will only (re)compile the programs whose source code has changed. It is intended to be used in combination with Aegis, a transaction-based software configuration management system that provides a framework within which a team of developers may work on many changes to a program independently.
PhotoFS is a Web-based photo album or image gallery, based on the files-as-directories and attributes-as-files concepts at the core of the ReiserFS 4 filesystem. It does not require ReiserFS 4, but is much more efficient on that system than on others. It does many of the same things as other Web galleries, at least as far as the basics go. What makes it different is its use of the filesystem instead of a database. It allows you to use regular unix tools to access your photo collection. It can handle very large collections, and also encourages multiple categories per file, deep category hierarchies, and batch processing.
Savane is a Web-based Free Software hosting system, originally based on SourceForge 2.0. It currently includes issue tracking, project and member management, mailing lists, and individual account maintenance. The issue tracking handles bugs, tasks, and support. Unix Mobile Agents is a generic, flexible, easy to use mobile agent architecture implemented in a set of bash scripts. This design is made to be trivial to deploy and setup. Agents can be configured to traverse the network in sorted order, in user defined order, or as a random walk. They can also run in a repeated loop, or in a single pass through the network. Connections are made via public-key SSH authentication, and the screen utility is used to allow agents to run without requiring terminals.
