Zeitleiste is a time line program written for the German conworlders community. As such it has to be more flexible than similar history programs, which set their main focus on Earth. It could be helpful to authors in the phantastic genre in general. It features a fully customizable template, free date definitions, freeform party relations, freeform place relations, and freely definable event categories.
TaskForest is a simple but expressive job scheduler that allows you to chain jobs and tasks and to create time dependencies. It uses plain-text configuration files to specify task dependencies. It comes with a built-in RESTful Web service. It was originally designed for a single machine, but support for multiple machines is planned.
The metric implemented in the Image::Density Perl Module estimates the density of data where there is data, and has a reasonable correlation with goodness as judged by humans. That is, if you let a human look at a set of images and judge quality, the density values for those images as calculated here tend to correlate well with the human judgement (densities that are too high or too low represent "bad'' images). It is intended for use on bitonal TIFF images, such as those from scanning paper documents.
SearchLog can be used as a searchable weblog. It is designed with usability in mind, and uses highlighting and easy linking between entries to give the user maximum power for minimum effort. It is much more than a weblog, however. It was designed as a knowledge management tool. It serves as a personal information management tool and portal. It is powerful and versatile enough to do several jobs well.
Tk::Text::Viewer is a text widget that can display text files under TK. It enable the user to search text and navigate in a Text widget. The reason for creating this module is that it doesn’t require downloading of modules other that Tk, and a need for simple user interaction. The package includes a text viewer demo program that can be used as a stand-alone browser.
