Urban Lightscape is a photo filter for exposure correction, localized brightness adjustments, dodging and burning, and the introduction of synthetic lighting to a photo. A simple "double-click-and-drag" paradigm is used to place control points on a photo, and clever edge detection localises and interpolates lightness adjustments around and between these points. Results are rapid, with additional controls for more subtle refinements.
STB microservices are a set of workhorse tools for maintaining scientific digital image repositories. The tools implement photo renumbering, metadata harvesting (OAI-PMH), use of GLite for very large batch processing, Web-based high-resolution viewers, processing, long-term preservation, and more.
dmap2gcode is a depth map image cutting program. A depth map is a greyscale image in which the darkness or lightness of each pixel corresponds to the depth (or height) of the object at each point. dmap2gcode supports various cutter geometries (flat, ball nose, and v-bit), two types of cut entry (straight and arc), a full set of roughing options, and various other settings, all controlled through a graphical user interface. The g-code output from dmap2gcode is compatible with LinuxCNC and Mach3.
FF Multi Converter is a simple graphical application which converts audio, video, image, and document files between all popular formats, using and combining other programs. It uses ffmpeg for audio/video files, unoconv for document files, and the PythonMagick library for image file conversions.
The Generic Image Decoder (GID) is an Ada package for decoding a broad variety of image formats, from any data stream to any kind of medium, be it an in-memory bitmap, a GUI object, some other stream, floating-point data for scientific calculations, a browser element, a device, etc. Animations are supported.
Image Tools is a screen capture and file sharing tool. It features multi-threaded batch image resizing, conversion, cropping, flipping/rotating, watermarks, decolorizing (grayscale, negative, sepia), and optimizing. The BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and EMF image types are supported. It is compatible with MONO (only for GNOME). Multicore processing is supported to increase performance. The quality for output when optimizing is variable. Color channels can be filtered. An internal benchmarking tool is available. Indexed pixel format images can be processed.
