For high traffic Web sites, Proto Balance Advanced provides connection rate limiting per second and limits the total number of connections. Both are done on a per-client basis. It has a complete Web configuration interface. The IP address of each connecting Web browser is recorded along with its connection stats. It is scalable to millions of clients and handles 10,000 concurrent connections. It performs server backend load balancing with an on-the-fly capability to add and remove servers. Daily and weekly traffic graphs are shown.
mod_epp is an Apache 2.0 module that implements the EPP over TCP protocol as defined in draft-ietf-provreg-epp-tcp-06.txt and the session management parts of draft-ietf-provreg-epp-0(6|7|8).txt. This is not a full implementation of EPP; this module just makes it possible to write an EPP server as a set of CGI scripts.
The mod_cidr_lookup is an Apache module for version 2.2 and 2.0. The mod_cidr_lookup detects client type by looking up the client's source IP address in CIDR blocks. This module sets the environment variable X_CLIENT_TYPE and the HTTP request header X-Client-Type, so it can be used in both Apache (httpd.conf) and Web applications.
SpeedySu is a modification of SpeedyCGI (a.k.a. PersistentPerl) so that it works with suEXEC-enabled Apache Web servers. Both Apache 1.3.x and 2.y running on UNIX systems are supported. SpeedyCGI speeds up Perl scripts (CGI or not) so that they remain running persistently, thus reducing the startup times of subsequent executions. SpeedySu extends SpeedyCGI by allowing ~UserDir CGI scripts started by Apache execute with the privileges of their owner user. SpeedySu contains other improvements in addition to suEXEC support.
PhishBouncer is an anti-phishing platform based on an HTTP/HTTPS proxy integrating anti-phishing checks that do not depend on block lists or Phish signatures. The checking algorithms make use of the attributes of the Web site being visited, the structure and properties of the referring URL, and the Web site's association with other legitimate Web sites that the user interacts with. The checks are implemented as plug-in interceptors, and it is easy to modify them and add or remove new checks.
