DeleGate is a multi-purpose application level gateway or proxy server that mediates communication of various protocols, applying cache and conversion for mediated data, controlling access from clients, and routing toward servers. It translates protocols between clients and servers, converting between IPv4 and IPv6, applying SSL (TLS) to arbitrary protocols, merging several servers into a single server view with aliasing and filtering. It can be used as a simple origin server for some protocols (HTTP, FTP, and NNTP).
httptype reads a list of http hosts and optionally the port number for each of these. It queries each host, displaying the type of HTTP server running on that host, if any. It reads the http_proxy and no_proxy environment variables to determine whether to use a proxy or not. These options may also be specified through the command line.
Mod_auth_kerb is an Apache module designed to provide Kerberos user authentication to the Apache web server. Using the Basic Auth mechanism, it retrieves a username/password pair from the browser and checks them against a Kerberos server as set up by your particular organization. It also supports mutual ticket authentication, although most browsers do not support that natively.
mod_sequester is a module for the Apache Web server 1.3 which allows you to control access to Web documents according to the date and time of the request. It provides four basic ways to control access: allow until time t, allow after time t, allow between times t and t', and allow except between times t and t'. It is useful for controlling access to time-sensitive things like press releases (disallow until after), special offers (allow until), or windowed 'this week only' opportunities (allow between).
phpSecurePages is a PHP module to secure pages with a login name and password. It can handle multiple user groups (each with their own viewing rights), store data in a MySQL database or a configuration file, and be used to identify your Web site viewers. It also has multiple language support and optional IP-based access restrictions.
'NTLM Authorization Proxy Server' (APS) is a proxy software that allows you to authenticate via an MS Proxy Server using the proprietary NTLM protocol. APS has the ability to behave as a standalone proxy server and authenticate HTTP clients at Web servers using the NTLM protocol. It can change arbitrary values in your client's request headers so that those requests will look like they were created by MS IE. It is written in Python 1.5.2.
Worm Report is a very simple Perl script to filter out the known worm (Code Red, Nimda) hits from the access log, and put them into their own files named for the IP/Host that has been "wormed". A basic report containing the count, hostname, ip, and a guess at the parent domain is then printed to STDOUT to facilitate contacting these individuals. Adding a new worm requires adding a new worm hit string to the DATA section of the script, nothing so fancy (or exhaustive) as an Apache module.
