Naiocast is a Web based streaming server, similar to SHOUTcast and Icecast. It currently supports MP3 audio streams only. It can be used to create an Internet radio station or a privately running jukebox. It requires neither expensive dedicated servers nor compilation on the target machine. The project includes: Naiocast Server, which accepts a stream sent from a computer and sends it to listeners over standard HTTP; and naioSC, which sends the audio stream to a Naiocast server to broadcast to clients. It runs typically in the place where the audio is generated.
Pkg-cacher is a transparent caching proxy daemon optimized for Debian and RPM packages. It is based on apt-cacher (version 1.6.4), which is available with Debian. This version has been modified to understand RedHat RPM repositiories. It also adds support for the HTTP Range and HTTP Redirect headers, and deals correctly with files which have the same name but different content on different distributions or, in some cases, different versions of the same distribution.
F*EX (Frams' Fast File EXchange) is a Web based service for sending very big files from one person to another. The sender uploads the file to the F*EX server and the recipient automatically gets a notification email with a download URL. Files are automatically deleted after download or an expiration date. The recipient and sender only need an email program and a Web browser. Sending to multiple recipients needs storage on the server only once. In contrast with other file transfer services, it has no file size limits at all and comes with shell tools for scripting up/downloading.
Apache Geo Map is a script that parses an Apache combined access log for the IP addresses of hosts that have accessed the server. It then looks up a Geo-Tag for those locations and, if successful, it adds them to a data file which the Google Maps API then displays. This plots all unique resolvable hits on a map.
AppSamurai is a mod_perl based system to protect vulnerable or sensitive Web applications. The target use is in reverse proxy configurations, with an Apache/mod_perl reverse proxy inside a DMZ and a backend Web server in another DMZ or an internal network. AppSamurai's features include a modular, multi-factor authentication system, form based or basic auth based logins, encrypted storage of session data on a proxy, the ability to use any Apache::Session storage type (including databases for clustered deployment), and the ability to configure it from httpd.conf.
Crowd is a Web-based single sign-on (SSO) tool that simplifies application provisioning and identity management. It has connectors for popular open source projects like Apache (via Perl) and Subversion. Pre-built connectors for other popular commercial products like Jive Forums, JIRA, and Confluence are also available.
XmlAutoIndex is a module for Apache HTTP Server that browses your directories and produces output in XML. The aim of this project is to replace mod_autoindex in Apache, separating data from design. XSLT can be used to translate the XML into HTML, SVG, or XUL, for example. You can make your own theme by updating an XSL style sheet and without ever touching the core engine. Using appropriate plugins, you can show pictures, videos, and music.
