PCGen is a Java (1.5+) -based character generator aimed at supporting OGL role playing games like those based upon the SRD, RSRD, and MSRD (such as Dungeons and Dragons). It is highly configurable by the users, allowing the Game Master to add or remove races, classes, feats, etc., and to implement house rules such as differing class or race restrictions. Level advancement is also supported, with configurable progressions of feats, skills and ability score bonuses. For "at the table" support, PCGen offers a set of GM plugins. Further options allow the user to produce a customized character sheet, which can then be viewed in, or printed from, the user's WWW browser. It can also produce a "party" sheet with the information needed by the GM.

FLATE is a library used to handle HTML template files outside C code as well as basic CGI input/output such as retrieving variables from HTML forms or cookies. Template files can be manipulated from the C code with various functions to change variables and display or hide part of the HTML code. The best way to sum it up would be that printf("<html>hello</html>"); is now history.

Ryan's In/Out Board is a Perl driven in/out board for small to medium-sized organizations whose staff need to be aware of the other staff members' whereabouts. It displays the name, phone, status, comments, and date/time for each staff member. Staff are able to quickly change their status by either clicking on their name or calling the main script with a "name" parameter. Standard comments are provided but can be added to or replaced by any comment the user wishes. With the aid of a cron job or scheduled task, it will also clear all staff as OUT every night, without removing any comments they have entered. It has a simple and clear interface and users can also search for the status of any staff member. The generated page can be automatically refreshed at your chosen interval and status colors are defined by you. It also displays staff internal phone numbers and you can use your own header and footer files. Staff can be grouped into teams or departments.
