ShellCheck is a static analysis tool for shell scripts. Its goals are to point out and clarify typical beginner's syntax issues that causes a shell to give cryptic error messages, to point out and clarify typical intermediate level semantic problems that causes a shell to behave strangely and counter-intuitively, and to point out subtle caveats, corner cases, and pitfalls that may cause an advanced user's otherwise working script to fail under future circumstances.
lhs2TeX is a literate programming tool. It is implemented as a preprocessor that generates LaTeX code from literate Haskell sources. It allows for and provides different styles for the formatting of code. You can easily select between representing operators with mathematical symbols or with ASCII approximations, as well as deciding whether or not to highlight keywords. The formatting of your own defined tokens may be adjusted. Preprocessor-style conditionals are supported, and Haskell can be used to generate parts of the document.
Erasm++, the Embedded Runtime Assembler in C++, is an Embedded Domain Specific Language (EDSL) in C++ for runtime code generation on Intel 64/IA-32 architectures. It supports complete compile-time syntax checking, and its code generators run very quickly because necessary data are computed statically. Also included are GenericDsm, a fast and generic instruction decoder library which supports "pattern matching" against the decoded instructions, and MetaPrelude, a Haskell-like lazy metaprogramming library that helps implementing EDSLs in C++.
Pandoc is a Haskell library for converting from one markup format to another, and a command-line tool that uses this library. It can read markdown and (subsets of) reStructuredText, HTML, and LaTeX, and it can write markdown, reStructuredText, HTML, LaTeX, DocBook, OpenDocument XML, RTF, ODT, GNU Texinfo, MediaWiki markup, and S5 HTML slide shows. Pandoc extends standard markdown syntax with footnotes, embedded LaTeX, and more. A compatibility mode is provided for those who need a drop-in replacement for Markdown.pl. Included wrapper scripts make it easy to convert markdown to PDFs and Web pages to markdown documents. It has a modular design where the addition of a new input or output format requires only the addition of a reader or writer module.
This program is especially useful when the main difference between the two LaTeX files is in permutation of sections, moved equations, etc. Given 2 LaTeX files, it prepares 2 annotated LaTeX files showing which equations of the 1st file are identical, or close, or similar, to which equations of the 2nd file. It does the same with the pieces of text. It also saves the snippets of text and equations from each text into separate files in 2 new folders, allowing the user to see the difference using a diff program.
Hoplax is a power user tool to store bookmarks in text files and manage them efficiently. Bookmarks stored in Hoplax are easy to edit and search with normal Unix tools and editors. They are easy to synchronize with git/svn/darcs/etc. Bookmarks can be categorized easily into files, and you can choose to not synchronize a file to a computer, e.g. confidential company bookmarks to home computers. The filtering is smarter than the browser's location bar. Keyword bookmarks with multiple parameters and auto-completion are supported.
Asynchronous DNS Resolver for Haskell is a library that provides an asynchronous DNS resolver on top of GNU ADNS. Not all options are supported, but A, MX, and PTR lookups work nicely. There is also support for retrieving generic RR types, CNAMEs, and for NSEC zone walking. The library can be expected to work with fine ADNS 1.4 or later. It might also work with version ADNS 1.3, but that hasn’t been tested.
Postmaster is an Internet mail transport agent (MTA) that handles incoming ESMTP network connections and delivers accepted messages to the user's mailbox by piping it into an arbitrary local mailer (such as Procmail). It is configurable beyond anything you'll ever need, handles any number of concurrent connections without forking or using OS threading, and it is pretty efficient. It currently lacks any form of queue management, but for leaf sites that don't need to do extensive mail relaying, it is a reliable and powerful solution.
