hwloc provides command line tools and a C API to obtain the hierarchical map of key computing elements, such as: NUMA memory nodes, shared caches, processor sockets, processor cores, and processor "threads". hwloc also gathers various attributes such as cache and memory information, and is portable across a variety of different operating systems and platforms. hwloc primarily aims at helping high-performance computing (HPC) applications, but is also applicable to any project seeking to exploit code and/or data locality on modern computing platforms.

MegaTunix is a tuning application for the MegaSquirt EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) ECU, a semi-open design hardware fuel injection controller usable on just about any internal combustion engine. It supports most recent MegaSquirt firmwares for the MS-1, MS-2, and MS-2 Extra series. Also included is support for the JimStim ECU debugging tool and the 3rd party Performance Injection System (PIS) firmware retrofit for GM ALDL ECUs. MegaTunix includes an intelligent ECU interrogator, very flexible data logging, and a configurable and extendable GUI.

IPMItool is a simple command-line interface to systems that support the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) specification. It provides the ability to read the SDR and print sensor values, display the contents of the SEL, print FRU information, read and set LAN configuration parameters, perform remote chassis power control, and act as a serial over LAN client. It can work with IPMI-over-LAN (both version 1.5 and 2.0) interfaces as well as the system interface provided by a kernel driver such as OpenIPMI.

parapin makes it easy to write C code under Linux that controls individual pins on a PC parallel port. This kind of control is very useful for electronics projects that use the PC's parallel port as a generic digital I/O interface. Parapin goes to great lengths to insulate the programmer from the somewhat complex parallel port programming interface provided by the PC hardware, and comes as a user-space C library, or linked as part of a Linux kernel module.

Spindown is a daemon to spin down idle disks and thus save energy and give the disks a longer lifetime. It also works with USB disks and hot-swappable disks because it uses the device ID to identify the disk instead of the device name (such as hda or sdb). This means that it doesn't matter if the disk is swapped while the daemon is running.

Tellu is inventory management software that collects hardware and software information automatically from networked servers and workstations, and stores collected data in MySQL database where data is easily readable using a comprehensive user interface usable by any modern Web browser. Devices (like routers and switches), peripherals (like video projectors and displays), and service providers (like hosting and maintenance) can also be stored in the database using a Web interface called Tellu Skin. Inventory management is only one part of Tellu's capability, Tellu offers the possibility to group together workstations, servers, devices, passwords, file attachments, and others to form a faction. For example, a faction can contain all the stuff that a development team needs in their development environment.
