rgbproc-repository is intended for use with Xilinx EDK tools. It consists of many units written in VHDL that can be used to build a design for image/video processing. The backbone is the data bus (called simply RGB) that is used to pass data (typically) from VGA input to VGA/DVI output.
The k6mult utility sets the CPU multiplier factor on AMD K6-III+ and K6-2+ processors featuring AMD PowerNow(tm). The CPU clock speed is determined by multiplying this factor by the Front Side Bus (FSB) speed. You should use the k6mult utility if you want to increase the multiplier factor after boot to overcome boot-time CPU speed limitations in some BIOSs that do not recognize the K6-III+, or to lower the CPU speed after boot to save power. k6mult comes with a command-line program of the same name to set the CPU multiplier factor immediately, and a boot-time service to set the parameter from a config file.
mubench is an in-depth, low-level benchmark for x86 processors. Its primary goal is to provide useful information for people who optimize assembly code and write compilers. It measures latency and throughput for each individual instruction (sometimes several forms of the same instruction), as well as the throughput of arbitrary instruction mixes. The results produced by mubench are typically an order of magnitude more detailed than those found in AMD or Intel manuals.
Multiple Devices Proxy is an application proxy to communicate with pipes, serial ports (RS-232/RS-485), TCP/IP, and potentially all devices in a host computer via TCP/IP sockets. It supports multicast and communication isolation. Any server may have many resources, e.g. 2 pipes, 4 RS-232, and 2 connected sockets to another server. Clients may ask for 1 to many of these resources, and all data will be multicast.
mgadvd is a Matrox G200/Zoran 36700 hardware MPEG decoder driver for Linux. It allows you to play MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and DVD streams through the Zoran 36700 Vaddis III decoder (connected to the G200) with very low CPU usage. Supported DVD audio formats are AC3 (Dolby Digital) and PCM. Included is a player app called mzplay that plays DVD directly from the disc as well as MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video and audio (Layer II only) files.
The i810 console framebuffer driver supporting 16-bit color (65k colors) works as an effective framebuffer which is similar to the VESAFB console. It has been tested with LPP (the Linux Progress Patch), but you must apply the LPP patch to the kernel before applying the patch for this driver. There is an easy install script install-fb available now.
