The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture is composed of several parts. The first is a fully modularized sound driver which supports module autoloading, devfs, isapnp autoconfiguration, and gives complete access to analog audio, digital audio, control, mixer, synthesizer, DSP, MIDI, and timer components of audio hardware. It also includes a fully-featured kernel-level sequencer, a full compatibility layer for OSS/Free applications, an object-oriented C library which covers and enhances the ALSA kernel driver functionality for applications (client/server, plugins, PCM sharing/multiplexing, PCM metering, etc.), an interactive configuration program for the driver, and some simple utilities for basic management.

The WebReboot Plugin for Nagios is a suite of commands that can be used within Nagios to monitor a server and take corrective action if necessary via the WebReboot line of products. For example, the plugin can be used to alert you if a host is powered down, versus simply not responding to network requests. Likewise, it can be used to reboot a server if a host fails to respond to ping, or to shut down a server when a critical temperature threshold is exceeded. The commands can be mixed-and-matched with all existing Nagios commands, maximizing total network coverage.

This is a set of Linux drivers for the ACP modem (Mwave), a WinModem. It is composed of a loadable kernel module and a user level application. Together these components support direct attachment to public switched telephone networks (PSTNs) and support selected world wide countries. This driver provides support for the IBM ThinkPad 600E. The Linux kernel driver and user-space tools serve for setting up and using the COSA and SRP boards under Linux. mgadvd is a Matrox G200/Zoran 36700 hardware MPEG decoder driver for Linux. It allows you to play MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and DVD streams through the Zoran 36700 Vaddis III decoder (connected to the G200) with very low CPU usage. Supported DVD audio formats are AC3 (Dolby Digital) and PCM. Included is a player app called mzplay that plays DVD directly from the disc as well as MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video and audio (Layer II only) files.

This Samsung ML-85G printer driver can print at the full resolution of 600x600 dpi, and at the maximum speed (about two times faster than the driver supplied by the manufacturer under Windows). It needs Ghostscript to convert your PostScript files into PBM images, piping the output directly to the driver. The driver runs in user space, but calls iopl(), so it should be set suid root to execute transparently.
