smartmontools contains utilities that control and monitor storage devices using the Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) system built into ATA and SCSI hard drives. This is used to check the reliability of the hard drive and to predict drive failures. Version 5.x is designed to comply with the ATA/ATAPI-5 specification. Future releases will comply with the ATA/ATAPI-6 and ATA/ATAPI-7 specifications. It is meant to be an up-to-date replacement for the ucsc-smartsuite and smartsuite packages, and is derived from that code.
amforth is an extendible command interpreter for the Atmel AVR ATmega microcontroller family. It has a turnkey feature for embedded use as well. It does not depend on a host application. The command language is an almost compatible ANS94 forth with extensions. It needs less than 8KB code memory for the base system. It is written in assembly language and forth itself.
cpuburn is is a set of programs that load x86 CPUs as heavily as possible for the purposes of system testing. FPU and ALU instructions are coded in an endless loop in an attempt to maximize heat production from the CPU, putting stress on the CPU itself, the cooling system, the motherboard (especially voltage regulators), and power supply. The tests may damage undercooled, overclocked, or otherwise weak systems and cause data loss or permanent damage to electronic components.
SysAid is a dynamic and highly intuitive software solution for small to medium-sized organizations. It provides extensive helpdesk, asset management, monitoring, reports and analysis, knowledgebase, live chat, and IT benchmarking applications in a simple, attractive, and easy-to-use package. The software comes with standardized templates to help you get started right away and fully customizable options to meet your day-to-day IT needs.
