Yudit is a Unicode text editor for the X Window System. It can do TrueType font rendering, printing, transliterated keyboard input, and handwriting recognition with no dependencies on external engines. Its conversion utilities can convert text between various encodings. Keyboard input maps can also act like text converters. There is no need for a pre-installed multi-lingual environment. Menus are translated into many languages.
Z88 is a fast, powerful, and compact finite elements analysis program. Z88 features 20 finite element types; it covers plane stress, plate bending, axial symmetric structures, and spacial structures up to 20-node Serendipity hexahedrons. It comes with a user-friendly interface (the Z88 Commander), and has a powerful mesh generator. It features a DXF coverter and two plot programs. The FEA solver is included, featuring an in-situ Cholesky solver along with the Jennings storage method. COSMOS and NASTRAN files from Pro/ENGINEER can be imported. Zim is a graphical text editor used to maintain a collection of wiki pages. Each page can contain links to other pages, simple formatting, and images. Pages are stored in a folder structure, like in an outliner, and can have attachments. Creating a new page is as easy as linking to a nonexistent page. All data is stored in plain text files with wiki formatting. Various plugins provide additional functionality, like a task list manager, an equation editor, a tray icon, and support for version control. Zim can be used to keep an archive of notes, take notes during meetings or lectures, organize task lists, draft blog entries and email, or do brainstorming.
Zina is a graphical interface to your MP3 collection, a personal jukebox, a Podcaster, and an MP3 streamer. It includes an optional Flash player, a tag editor, and can search the Web for album art and song lyrics. It can run alone, be embedded into an existing Web site, or be used as a module in Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress.
aria2 is a utility for downloading files. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent, and Metalink. It has a powerful segmented downloading ability, downloading a file from multiple sources and multiple protocols and utilizing your download bandwidth to the maximum. It supports downloading a file from HTTP(S)/FTP and BitTorrent at the same time, while the data downloaded from HTTP(S)/FTP is uploaded to the BitTorrent swarm. Using Metalink's chunk checksums, aria2 automatically validates chunks of data while downloading a file like BitTorrent.
class.upload.php manages file uploads for you. It manages the uploaded file and allows you to do whatever you want with the file as many times as you want. If the file is an image, you can convert and resize it, rotate it, crop it in many ways. You can also add borders, frames, bevels, text labels, and watermarks or apply graphic filters such as unsharp mask, contrast or brightness correction, colorization, negative, greyscale, reflections, and more. Security features and file management functions are provided. Flash uploaders and XMLHttpRequest uploads are supported. depfinder finds the dependencies of Slackware packages. The dependency list can be output to stdout, to a .dep text file without version information, or to a slack-required file with version information. depfinder is very fast; its speed is mainly due to the C++ code that is used in depfinder to find in which package each individual library is included. It also has support for running multiple jobs, which makes it a lot faster when used with multiple CPUs/cores. depfinder supports detecting dependencies of binary files compiled with languages such as C or C++ and it can also detect Python dependencies.
