VPPPN stands for virtual peer-to-peer private networking. The project provides a VPN client using a custom protocol to be able to set up a point-to-point dynamic virtual network. This differs from OpenVPN in that it does not need a central server to pass the network's traffic. A central server exists to allocate IP addresses and provide a point of contact for the clients, but once connections are established, these services are no longer needed. This means that a VPPN network is free (as in beer), since to set up a network you do not need to invest in an always-on Internet server. Once established, a VPPPN network behaves in a similar way to a normal IP network. To the end user, this means you can set up an office network and drag and drop files between computers in a secure manner over the Internet.
wp-popeye (Popeye) presents images from the Wordpress media library in a nice and elegant way within your posts and pages. Use it to save space when displaying a collection of images and offer your users a simple way to show large versions of your images. It is based on jQuery.popeye and does not employ a disruptive modal window to display large images, allowing all thumbnails and the large images to be browsed in a single image space. It also repects the page flow and stays anchored and rooted in the Web page at all times. The plugin is very easy to set up and integrates automatically into your posts, or allows you to use a shortcode. It comes with several styles but can be also easily customized.
Snippetsource is a simple yet powerful repository to store code snippets or any other text content. SQLite is used as the database backend, which makes fast indexed lookups possible. It is based on the editor of the Notepas project, so it will automatically benefit from the incremental changes happening on that project.
DeforaOS Locker is a screensaver application, available for desktop and embedded environments alike. Written for the DeforaOS platform, it supports a plugin system for authentication, animations, or generic extension. Archivist is a network device configuration archiving and versioning program. It uses Subversion as its revision control system. Its multithreaded design makes it quite fast and thus suitable for operation on large networks with thousands of network devices. It supports Cisco IOS, Cisco CatOS, Juniper JUNOS, and Brocade/Foundry MLX series, but it can be easily extended to support any SSH or telnet-based network device by creating your own config download and post-processing scripts.
