ashttpd was originally a testbed for a kernel async-sendfile patch. Today, it's just another Web server for serving static content rapidly. It differs from its competitors by storing its webroot in a database, which provides a 50% performance increase over using the operating system's VFS. It also allows precalculation of strong cache-validators (ETags).
FreeFuzzyTime is a time reasoner based on Fuzzy Temporal Constraint Networks (FTCN), which treats fuzzy temporal information efficiently. It can be integrated into applications for diagnosis. This is especially important in areas like Intensive Care Units, where patients' data are handled by a temporal database. FuzzyTime uses a structure which consists of three levels of abstraction. The upper layer is the user interface, where a translator transforms the expressions introduced by the user into temporal relations between temporal entities (points and intervals). The semantics of a user’s expressions are analyzed and stored in the intermediate layer, or temporal world. Finally, the bottom layer is based on the FTCN model.
Kvpm is a GUI front end for Linux LVM and GNU parted. LVM2 groups and volumes can be created, removed, and manipulated using most of the options supported by the standard LVM2 tools. Some support for creating and operating on partitions is provided. It also handles creating and mounting filesystems. LVM version 2.02.88 or newer must be installed with the lvm2app library. Only the KDE 4 libraries need to be installed, not the entire desktop, so it my be run from within Gnome, for instance.

It allows you to specify which HTTP resources can be accessed by owners of which email addresses. Mozilla Persona is used to prove that a visitor owns an allowed email address. No site-specific password is needed. The Persona UI makes the authentication process really smooth. wwwhisper is application-independent and can be used for any Web resources.
Cradlecore for PHP creates objects using the Inversion of Control (IoC) to configure the objects externally. It provides a factory class which can create the objects and configure them according to configuration which can be defined externally using one or more XML files which define details of behavior of those objects. The external configuration can determine how the dependency injection occurs by defining whether the objects will be configured by passing specific parameters to the constructor or a setter function.
