KBACKUP is intended for handling of backups no matter whether they reside on disk or tape or even in files. As most other backup programs available today are either confusing the user with lots of long command line options, or user friendly but not powerful at all, the aim behind writing KBACKUP was to provide a user friendly yet powerful backup program. It is also intended to be kept compatible to existing and well proven archive formats, so you can restore your archives even if you should not have KBACKUP around anymore.
PHP Mobile Mail is aimed at mobile professionals who want to use their favorite MUAs (noteably pine or mutt) on their laptop, either in UNIX or Windows (under GNU Gygwin). This lets you work offline. It includes a mail_spooler program, which accepts the output of you MUA and spools (on, or offline). When connected, another process parses through the spool and sends your messages. It is also designed to "fake" using your REAL email address with free services like gmx.net, or mail.yahoo.com, when using their POP and SMTP servers, assuming you have a domain and account that you can control to this degree.
Using nothing more than a web browser, developers can implement dynamic data-driven storefronts with an integrated shopping basket, catalog, hierarchical categories, boolean product search, and order processing. Your eShop's architecture lets developers prepare and market specialized look and feel, payment processing, and shipping modules.
SWISH stands for Simple Web Indexing System for Humans. With it you can index directories of files and search the generated indexes. Based on EIT's swish, this is a cleaner-compiling, enhanced version with better docs, better installation and configuration tools, more sample configurations, and a Web page to help manage index rebuilding. SWISH is used with w4ais as a Web-based front end.
w4ais is a gateway between a forms-capable Web browser and an indexing/search program, based on the old EIT wwwwais program. This new version is tested completely with swish 1.2 and above, and should still work with freeWAIS. This version allows easy and thorough customization of the search page look and feel, and includes help and various utilities to install and configure multiple interfaces for various users or sites on a single system.
