PCGen is a Java (1.5+) -based character generator aimed at supporting OGL role playing games like those based upon the SRD, RSRD, and MSRD (such as Dungeons and Dragons). It is highly configurable by the users, allowing the Game Master to add or remove races, classes, feats, etc., and to implement house rules such as differing class or race restrictions. Level advancement is also supported, with configurable progressions of feats, skills and ability score bonuses. For "at the table" support, PCGen offers a set of GM plugins. Further options allow the user to produce a customized character sheet, which can then be viewed in, or printed from, the user's WWW browser. It can also produce a "party" sheet with the information needed by the GM.
The adventure PHP framework (APF) is a utility to implement object oriented and generic PHP Web applications. It allows the developer to create programs in compliance with approved software design patterns, and the code base already has answers to many everyday problems. The framework cannot be described as an application that only has to be configured, but rather as a technical basis and design guide for the design of software. Further, it introduced many concepts and efficiency tools already well known in the Java community.
ScrumDo is a Web application to manage your agile Scrum based projects. It gives you the tools to create and track user stories in your project. Some features include automatic burn-up charts, drag and drop iteration planning, the ability to export to Excel, edit your stories, and import your changes back in, a history tool to track where you've been, and a predictions tool for looking ahead. Multiple scrum teams are supported off a single backlog.
Jenner is a Web page templating system with a twist: it runs completely within a Web browser. Templates are just normal Web pages with special syntax inside text nodes, attributes, or comments. Unlike other in-browser templating systems, Jenner does not require overloading of "class" attributes or invalid HTML; all Jenner templates are valid Web pages and the template expressions flow in a very natural way. Having the template engine in the Web browser instead of on the server takes a lot of load off of the server, and makes for a clean separation of presentation and content. Jenner is very powerful: it has the full power of the Esel expression language at its disposal. Templates can be rendered from JSON data, and can be re-rendered without a browser-to-server round trip.
QtWebApp allows you to write standalone Web server applications in C++ as easily as Java Servlets. The HTTP 1.1 server supports persistent connections, sessions with cookies, and file uploads. It contains a template engine and a logger that can be configured at runtime. The application runs on Unix as a daemon, on Windows as a service, and on all operating systems on the command line. It is based on Nokia QT 4.7. Compatibility with QT 4.8 and 5.0 has been verified successfully.
