Written with the noweb literate programming tool, BaseEncode provides a framework for portable encoding and decoding of data in text files, somewhat similar to uuencoded arithmetic coding. By using statistical knowledge, some amount of compression can also be achieved. The algorithm is designed to be highly portable: only 16-bit signed integers are assumed. Output comes in the form of a Fortran-90 module, but translation to other languages is trivial.
Calf is a set of audio effect plugins. Several plugins are provided: flanger, reverb, multimode filter, vintage delay, phaser, simple monophonic VA synthesizer, and organ/pad synthesizer. Compiler for actsl is an extremely small compiler for a minimal low-level action-based programming language. The programming language has pointers with both references and dereferences, and therefore can do everything that can be done with C. The compiler can compile itself (bootstrap).
The Database Primitives Library contains a number of function suites intended to facilitate the design and building of in-memory databases. Originally created with IRC servers in mind, the library provides simple linked lists with arbitrary ordering, hash tables which can optionally be automatically resized, memory-efficient sparse matrices based on the linked lists and hash tables, and an implementation of red-black trees. Other database primitives may be added in the future, if needed.
GPP is a general-purpose preprocessor with customizable syntax, suitable for a wide range of preprocessing tasks. Its independence from any programming language makes it much more versatile than cpp, while its syntax is lighter and more flexible than that of m4. The syntax is fully customizable, which makes it possible to process text files, HTML, or source code equally efficiently in a variety of languages.
