Panel-GZW is a solution for Web hosting platforms in Unix/Linux environments. Its design goals include simplicity, independence, and modularity. Panel-GZW lets users easily manage their Web hosting, including such features as FTP users, mailboxes, domain names, Cronjobs, SQL services, and more. It lets system administrators manage modules, quotas, users, FTP users, SQL databases and users, mailboxes and aliases, cronjobs, pre-plants, and more.
libferris is a virtual filesystem that exposes hierarchical data of all kinds through a common C++ interface. Access to data is performed using C++ IOStreams and metadata is available as key-value pairs through the Extended Attributes (EA) interface. Rich support for filesystem indexing is included to provide timely search results for well into millions of files. Ferris uses a plugin API to handle a large range of data sources, metadata, and index and search strategies. Filesystems include file:// with monitoring, XML (mount an XML file as a filesystem), relational databases, ISAM databases (Berkeley db, tdb, gdbm, eet et al), xmldb, LDAP, Applications (Evolution, Firefox, Emacs), HTTP, FTP, sockets, and RDF (from XML, binary, soprano). EA generators include image, audio, and animation decoders.
Shoelacer attempts to generate a pair of small C functions that compress or decompress a set of data (primarily short strings) presented to it, and possibly other data of that kind. The data it is given may consist of entries of just a few bytes or longer. Its goal is to be reasonably fast with a tiny memory overhead. Compression performance is not so much the goal, although it certainly isn't ignored.
net-status-monitor is a simple console script to test whether Internet connectivity is working. If it is, the script tells you the external IP address (in case your dynamic DNS provider is down). If not, it tries to find the point where the connectivity fails. The output is quite simple, so you can put it on your grandmother's PC. "Just tell me what the read line says" should give you enough information.
Volo Milestone is a Web-based workgroup management system. It can track almost all job functions with virtually any type of call center, help desk, office, factory, law firm, or clinic. It can help reduce your CRM and helpdesk tracking costs. It can be installed in minutes, and its intuitive interface is meant to be used without the need for training. Its speedy performance can scale from small to very large offices and multiple departments. Its functionality can be extended easily with its organized design.
Rsyslog is an enhanced multi-threaded syslogd. Among others, it offers support for on-demand disk buffering, reliable syslog over TCP, SSL, TLS, and RELP, writing to databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and many more), email alerting, fully configurable output formats (including high-precision timestamps), the ability to filter on any part of the syslog message, on-the-wire message compression, and the ability to convert text files to syslog. It is a drop-in replacement for stock syslogd and able to work with the same configuration file syntax.
