udp_copy2 consists of two executables, udp_send2 and udp_recv2, implementing plain text non-interactive data transfer over UDP/IPv4 with a preset transfer rate. On lossy links, it yields better throughput than TCP-based transfers. It may also be used for smooth user space throttling. It dedicates a mode to SNAT/MASQ so the receiver can initiate transfer from behind a firewall. It features a very precise user space packet scheduler. It handles SIGSTOP in a rational way. It only transfers in one direction for one invocation. It needs and uses no synchronous I/O multiplexing. Shell access is required on both ends. The package also contains the auxiliary multi-threaded tool "bigpipe", which can be used to reduce pipeline latency.
Pak transfers multiple, possibly very big, regular files between possibly different hosts you have shell access to. It transmits segment IDs instead of file names and uses on-the-fly Blowfish-CBC encryption while being absolutely restartable with practically no loss of data already transmitted. Encrypted pak streams can be stored in intermediary regular files on untrusted hosts. Several stored pak streams, even truncated ones, can be merged for re-piping without decryption. Integrity is never checked. File offsets of any magnitude are supported via recompilation (the default width is 64 bits). Either UNIX 95 or UNIX 98 conformance is required and sufficient.
The RegLookup project is devoted to direct analysis of Windows NT-based registry files. RegLookup provides command line tools, a C API, and a Python module for accessing registry data structures. The project has a focus on providing tools for digital forensic examiners (though it is useful for many purposes), and includes algorithms for retrieving deleted data structures from registry hives.
SndBite is a specialized audio editor designed for breaking large recordings into smaller components with great efficiency. Its principal intended application is in linguistic research where it is often desirable to put each word or sentence into a separate file before further processing. It is also useful for measuring pause durations. Its features include multiple simultaneous views of the waveform at different resolutions, the ability to position window edges at transitions between sound and silence, automated setting of cut points at zero-crossings, automatic filename generation easily controlled by the user, and optional automatic playback on window motion. It is scriptable and may be run in batch mode without the GUI.
Crossroads is a daemon running in user space, and features extensive configurability, polling of back ends using wake up calls, status reporting, many algorithms to select the "right" back end for a request (and user-defined algorithms for very special cases), and much more. Crossroads is service-independent: it is usable for any TCP service, such as HTTP(S), SSH, SMTP, RDP, and database connections. In the case of HTTP balancing, Crossroads can provide session stickiness for back end processes that need sessions, but aren't session-aware of other back ends. Crossroads can be run as a stand-alone daemon or via inetd, and features a management Web interface for monitoring and for modification of parameters.
SurfShopPRO is a rock solid shopping cart and e- commerce system. It comes complete with a browser-based admin section, search engine, optional customer sign-in, gift certificates, unlimited shipping options, powerful calculations, and much more. It can be powered by a MySQL database or alternatively, DBM and ASCII databases. It works with most all payment gateways, including PayPal and Authorize.net and includes professional looking templates.
LogAnalyzer is a Web front-end for syslog and other network event data. It provides easy browsing, searching, basic analysis, and some graphics. Data is taken from databases or plain syslog text files, so LogAnalyzer does not require changes to an existing logging infrastructure. Depending on the log data present, it can process syslog messages, Windows event log entries, and some more exotic things. Its troubleshooting support enables users to quickly find solutions to problems seen in the log data. LogAnalyzer was previously called phpLogCon, and has been renamed since v3.
Kolab is a groupware system that provides a comprehensive and flexible solution for workgroups. Email, contacts, and group calendars can be managed via the Web, Windows/Outlook, and Linux/KDE. It supports offline synchronization and full seamless support of mixed client environments because the Kolab-XML storage format is fully open and avoids MAPI/TNEF.
