gnoMint is a tool for easily creating and managing certification authorities. It provides fancy visualization of all the pieces of information that pertain to a CA, such as x509 certificates, CSRs, and CRLs. gnoMint is currently capable of managing a CA that emits certificates that are able to authenticate people or machines in VPNs (IPSec or other protocols), secure HTTP communications with SSL/TLS, authenticate and cipher HTTP communications through Web-client certificates, and sign or crypt email messages.
The Karmasphere DP language is a high-performance non-blocking parallel language for performing data processing. It is designed to give the user a high degree of control over the usage of system resources, such as how many CPU cores or how much disk I/O time to use, without requiring the software developer to explicitly consider these issues in code. The implementation is a stand-alone library that can be used in any Java 1.5 environment. It can take full advantage of multiprocessor (SMP or NUMA) systems, and may be scaled sideways: since the interpreter and environment are stateless, an entire cluster of machines may run the interpreter in parallel without any need for synchronization.
Javeau is a small tool meant to provide an easy way to create and use encrypted directories, using strong cryptography and a simple interface. It works under Java 6. Data stored in these folders are encrypted and safe (using 256 bit encryption); they can be accessed only by the user (by providing the password used to create the folder), and their integrity is checked to prevent data tampering. The application sports a convenient file-manager-like interface, is very fast and small, and is completely cross-platform: you can access your encrypted storage everywhere you can run a Java 6 VM.
GNU SIP Witch is a secure peer-to-peer VoIP server. Calls can be made even behind NAT firewalls, and without requiring service providers. SIP Witch can be used on the desktop to create bottom-up secure calling networks and as a free software alternative to Skype. It can also be used as a stand-alone SIP-based office telephone server, or to create secure VoIP networks for an existing IP-PBX such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Yate.
PDFResurrect is a tool aimed at analyzing PDF documents. The PDF format allows for previous document changes to be retained in a more recent version of the document, thereby creating a running history of changes for the document. This tool attempts to extract all previous versions while also producing a summary of changes between versions. It can also "scrub" or write data over the original instances of PDF objects that have been modified or deleted, in an effort to disguise information from previous versions that might not be intended for anyone else to read.
The Cryptographic Implementations Analysis Toolkit (CIAT) is a compendium of command line and graphical tools whose aim is to help in the detection and analysis of encrypted byte sequences within files (executable and non-executable). It is particularly helpful in the forensic analysis and reverse engineering of malware using cryptographic code and encrypted payloads.
