4Pane is a four pane detailed-list file manager for Linux. It is designed to be fully-featured without bloat, and aims for speed rather than visual effects. In addition to standard file manager things, it offers multiple undo and redo of most operations (including deletions), archive management including 'virtual browsing' inside archives, multiple renaming/duplication of files, a terminal emulator, and user-defined tools.
AKFAvatar is a fancy graphical user interface for text oriented applications where an avatar appears on the screen and provides information in a balloon. It also supports recorded audio files. Applications for AKFAvatar can be written in Lua, and there are interfaces for C, Objective C, C++, Free Pascal, and GNU Pascal. A number of ready-to-use applications and modules are provided, including a text viewer and a module that makes question-answer exercises. For POSIX-compatible operating systems there is a man page viewer and a terminal emulator, which makes it possible to run many existing terminal-based programs in this fancy environment.
ANDREW's Not a DVD Ripping and Encoding Wizard, but a command-line interface that simplifies the use of some programs to create AVI, Matroska, MP4, or OGM files from DVDs. ANDREW runs in interactive or batch mode; works on-the-fly or ripping DVDs to the hard drive; handles progressive, telecine, and interlaced NTSC and PAL formats; selects multiple audio and subtitle tracks by preferences or in full manual mode; splits movies into several files or encodes them by target size or video bit rate; and more.
AYUMiS is a project aiming to create a cross-platform MMORPG set in space. It is developed in C++ with ClanLib. It will give the player full control over the game universe, with no NPCs or pre-planned storyline. It attempts to give the player a full range of choices and open-ended gameplay.
Advertnet is tool for managing multiple networks of advertising boards, ready to work with Second Life. In Advertnet's model, the boards are attached to urban furnitures and can belong to different networks, thus forming ad campaigns. Differents types of objects can be attached to boards and networks: notecards, URLs, etc. Advertnet is composed of a Ruby on Rails application that can communicate with ad boards created in Second Life.
Airrace is an air race game where the player is required to pilot a plane through sets of pylons in a prescribed order. The flight model is pretty realistic in that it features most of the effects that make flying an aircraft challenging but without having to worry about what several dozens of buttons on the dashboard do. Right now, seven training tracks and five race tracks are available. Airrace has been written on top of Aviation and Techne.
