RoasterBase is a database for storing coffee beans, blends, and roasting profiles. Live data input (while roasting), reroasting instructions of an existing profile, and stock management of beans is supported. A plot of the profiles is drawn, and can be exported to be printed or shown to other roasters on the Web. The UI of Roasterbase is aimed at efficient live data input and use on a laptop next to the roaster.
Raggier is a plugin-based raytracer that supports XML format scenefiles, POV-Ray, and Polyray scenefiles. Other facilities planned include Lindermayer Systems (L-Systems), AVI/OGM (Ogg Vorbis)/Matroska animations, and a Perl/PHP Web interface. Raggier uses the Libtrace library, modified with various fixes to get it to compile using gcc 3.x and to improve the results. The modified version is called LibTraceMod and is available in the CVS.
vt-ng detects virus and worm like activity based on communication patterns. It can be used to detect infected hosts within your internal network and stop the spread of malware. Detection is based on the fact that malware usually tries to initiate many connections to the outside network for various reasons, such as to "phone home", download further malware, or scan the network for other vulnerable hosts.
PerlAutoInstaller (PAI) is a software deployment tool. You can use it to deploy a large range of applications silently for your users from a centrally managed server. The main advantages of PAI are automatic udapte of agents from the server, high security level using the HTTPS protocol, and a certificate authority to restrict software deployment to your company. PAI can manage a group of clients. No database backend is needed. All output from an installation attempt is returned to the server so that you can see why an installation failed.
dirogg is a small script to migrate your entire music collection to the Ogg Vorbis format. It's a recursive script, meaning that you run it from the root of your music collection, and it will automatically convert your MP3 files to Ogg Vorbis (ogg) files. If you wish, it can also remove your MP3 files after conversion.
Gateway Anti-Virus allows applications across the enterprise to check files for viruses by providing a SOAP-based virus scanning Web service. Client application attach files to SOAP messages and submit them to the Gateway Anti-Virus Web service. The Web service uses clamav to scan the attachments for viruses and it returns the results to the client.
