vlock is a program to lock one or more sessions on the Linux console. This is especially useful for Linux machines which have multiple users with access to the console. One user may lock his or her session(s) while still allowing other users to use the system on other virtual consoles. If desired, the entire console may be locked and virtual console switching disabled.
BlueProximity helps add a little more security to the desktop. It does so by detecting a certain Bluetooth device, most likely a mobile phone, and keeping track of its distance. If it is moved away from the computer and the distance is above a certain level (no measurement in meters is possible) for a given time, it automatically locks the desktop (or starts any other shell command wanted). Once away, the computer awaits its master's return: if the device is nearer than a given level for a set time, the computer unlocks without any interaction (or starts any other shell command wanted).
Kochizz is a graphical tool for facilitating the configuration of the Apache Web server. Rather than to adopt an approach where the assistants completely mask the real structure of the configuration files, Kochizz constantly authorizes the manual control of the directives it handles. It features contextual assistance based on the Apache-Documentation project, syntax highlighting, a hierarchical view of the tree structure of the directives and the files included, local server management, and more.
Amora (A mobile remote assistant) is an application for S60 Nokia smartphones written in Python (PyS60). It allows you to send keyboard events and mouse moving in your Linux desktop. You can control slides, movies, and any other application. Supported features include: mouse drag, double clicking, mouse left button, and some common keyboard keys (Enter, Esc, Space, F5, arrow key left/right, 'F', etc.). It can take a screenshot of the active window on your desktop and view thumbnail on the cellphone. Communication uses Bluetooth.
Paperbox is a document browser. It lets you nicely view your ebooks, office and text documents and organize them by tags. Relying on Tracker, it is able to instantly discover all documents on your desktop and present them in a convenient way. Tags and other metadata are shared across all Tracker-based applications.
