Yruba provides a rule system similar to make or ant for the shell (bash). It provides a clear separation between a list of dependencies that must be up-to-date before the current task can be performed, an explicit test that checks whether the target is really out-of-date, and a command that finally makes the target. Everything is plain bash syntax, so there is no new command language to learn.
ytnef_cg_filter.pl provides a content filter program for the Stalker CommuniGate Pro email server that performs extraction of TNEF (winmail.dat) attachments by utilizing ytnef. It also has the ability to scan attachments with Clam Antivirus, as well as block them based on regular expressions. Its goal is to ease interoperability between mixed Windows and Linux workgroup environments.
yumpkgs is a tool to help people download the right set of RPM packages needed to update another computer that can't download the packages itself, for whatever reason. After the packages have been downloaded, they can be transferred to the other computer by way of a flash drive or portable disc. yumpkgs produces a list (downloads.list) with a .bat script that can be run on Windows to do the downloading.
yumtk is a GUI front-end for yum, the Yellow dog Updater, Modified. It lists updated versions of packages already installed along with available packages that have not been installed. An "Update All" button makes it possible to perform a quick, full system update, and an option to automatically install packages and dependencies, or to list what is needed and prompt for approval is provided. Available packages are listed complete with architecture, package version, and repository. Each package listed has an "info" button to display the description information from the package header.
Yxorp is a reverse proxy for HTTP. All the fields in requests can be checked and modified by rules. Load balancing, virtual hosting, multiple TCP ports, and SSL are supported. The configuration can be modified on-line. Yxorp can be used to protect Web sites, place pages behind a login, rewrite URLs, etc.
