APRIL is a symbolic programming language that is designed for writing mobile, distributed and agent-based systems especially in an Internet environment. It has advanced features such as a macro sub-language, asynchronous message sending and receiving, code mobility, pattern matching, higher-order functions and strong typing. The language is compiled to byte-code which is then interpreted by the APRIL runtime-engine. APRIL now requires the InterAgent Communications Model (ICM) to be installed before it can be installed.
Aps is a small tool for analyzing network traffic. It prints out a great deal of information about the relevant protocols including TCP, UDP, ARP, and ICMP. It allows you to filter IP addresses, hardware addresses, ports, and specific protocols. It comes with a little GTK-GUI displaying packet counters for each protocol.
Apsfilter is a magic printfilter, allowing you to print different document types "automagically" without having to convert them manually into something which is understood by your printer. Apsfilter is a mature and powerful printing solution for any flavor of Unix running lpd or LPRng. It supports the latest GhostScript version and 3rd-party printer drivers (such as hpijs, ijs, hpdj, pcl3, and gimp-print). It autodetects lots of file, archive, and compression types. It supports printing on local as well as on Appletalk, Unix, and Windows remote printers. General and "per printer-queue" based config files allow you to configure the printer for your needs. The lpr command line options allow you to change printing parameters like print quality, orientation, duplex mode, etc. "on the fly" without having to edit any config file. A SETUP script helps you to test various supported ghostscript drivers prior installation, makes the necessary entries in /etc/printcap, creates spool directories, and creates apsfilter default config files as needed. A handbook in HTML is available. Several tools are also included: "aps2file" allows you to print to a file via apsfilter, "apspreview" previews files as generated by apsfilter using gv and friends, and "apsfilter-bug" assists you in doing bug and problem reports.
Arabeske is a special kind of vector drawing software. It has a limited set of shapes but is extremely specialised towards complex symmetric interlaced drawings, like those traditionally found in Arabic architecture. It is not a texture editor, but rather a pattern generator. It exports in EPS, PNG, and POV-Ray formats.
ArcEm is a register level emulator of the Acorn Archimedes A4x0 system based around the ARM microprocessor. It is distributed with ARM Linux binaries and will boot ARM Linux and Acorn's RISC OS 3.1. It runs under X, Win32, and RISC OS. It is based on the release of the ARM emulator core by ARM Ltd, although this has been heavily modified for the emulation. It is a reasonably accurate register level emulation and as such should run pretty much anything.
Ari's Yahoo Client is a compact, easy-to-use, text-based client for Yahoo! Messenger, based on yahoolib as distributed with GTKYahoo. ID (whether or not it is on your buddy list).
Ariadne is a Web Application Framework and Content Management System built with PHP. It allows you to build complex Web applications and sites with ease. It takes care of the mundane stuff like internationalization, security, user management, templating, data retrieval and storage, caching, and site management. It stores content in a structured object store that can be accessed through an extensive filesystem-like API.
A PHP5 OO template engine which supports template inheritance.
