AutoLaTeX is a tool for managing small to large sized LaTeX projects. The typical AutoLaTeX input file is simply a series of variable definitions in a Makefile for the project. This Makefile was automatically generated by a provided Perl script. The user can easily perform all required steps to do such tasks as preview the document or produce a PDF file. JGloss is an application for adding reading and translation annotations to words in a Japanese text document. This can be done automatically and manually. When a text document is first opened, kanji words will be looked up in a dictionary and the first reading and translation (if any) used to annotate the word. The user can then edit the annotations: choose among the readings and translations found in the dictionaries, enter your own readings and translations, remove annotations, and add new annotations. The document can be exported as plain text with annotations, HTML, or LaTeX.

Seed7 is a general purpose programming language. It is a higher level language compared to Ada, C++, and Java. In Seed7, new statements and operators can be declared easily. Functions with type results and type parameters are more elegant than a template or generics concept. Object orientation is used when it brings advantages and not in places when other solutions are more obvious. Although Seed7 contains several concepts of other programming languages, it is generally not considered as a direct descendant of any other programming language.
