GNU V.E.R.A. (Virtual Entity of Relevant Acronyms) is a free list of acronyms, all of which are used in the field of computing. V.E.R.A. is primarily meant to be used as an online reference, although some efforts have been taken to make its TeX output look acceptable. It contains approximately 8100 acronyms.
This package can be used to implement aspect oriented programming (AOP) by executing the code of classes that enable orthogonal aspects at run- time. The intention is to provide a means to implement orthogonal aspects in separate classes that may be an interesting add to the application, like logging, caching, transaction control, etc., without affecting the main business logic. The package provides base classes for implementing defining point cuts where the code of an advice class is called to implement actions of the orthogonal aspects that an application may need to enable.
vtwatch automatically switches the active virtual console on your Linux system in a loop, acting as a virtual terminal surveillance monitor. The speed at which they switch is configurable, and it is possible to input a search string, which you are notified about if it is found on a console.
FDRDF is a tool that builds a catalogue of descriptions in an RDF representation of the specified files. The descriptions currently include: file status (as per the stat system call); SHA-1 hash over the file contents; MIME type (as guessed by the file tool), geospatial metadata (as per GDAL), and GRIB file composition (as per GRIB API).
