Russian Man-Pages Extra is for Russians who prefer Linux distributions other than Russian-specific ones (such as ASPLinux or ALTLinux). It contains all of the existing Russian man pages, including pages from the official manpages-ru project, which is merely a translation of the main man pages package.
The X3D library is used to load an X3D file and render it using OpenGL (an X3D file is an XML file describing a 3D environment that can be rendered with OpenGL.) The library supports all the objects as defined in the X3D specification in 2006. The render library is still somewhat limited, though. It works well under Linux. It is likely to work on any Unix, and has worked under MS Windows before. The project includes a test that makes use of FLTK version 2.0-m3. That version of FLTK can be downloaded from the project repository, as FLTK itself actually ended up not publishing a concrete 2.0 version of the library.
FDRDF is a tool that builds a catalogue of descriptions in an RDF representation of the specified files. The descriptions currently include: file status (as per the stat system call); SHA-1 hash over the file contents; MIME type (as guessed by the file tool), geospatial metadata (as per GDAL), and GRIB file composition (as per GRIB API).
GNU V.E.R.A. (Virtual Entity of Relevant Acronyms) is a free list of acronyms, all of which are used in the field of computing. V.E.R.A. is primarily meant to be used as an online reference, although some efforts have been taken to make its TeX output look acceptable. It contains approximately 8100 acronyms.
Pakt is an XML abstraction layer for GObjects. It maintains a server-side tree of glib-like (Gtk, Gnome, etc) objects and provides access methods to manipulate the same (and thereby the running 'application'). Its primary use is to publish GStreamer pipelines, enabling connected clients to monitor and change the element's parameters and the pipeline's structure.
The NetCDF package consists of a few tools to operate on NetCDF and, by utilizing the compatibility API, HDF4 files. The tools are intended to be used from shell scripts. They include a couple of simple shell wrappers over the respective NetCDF functions (ncattget and ncattput) and a more sophisticated ncget tool. The ncget tool delivers (for NetCDF) or complements (for HDF4) the functionality of the "hdp dumpsds" command. It allows a selected part of a NetCDF variable or an HDF4 scientific data set (SDS) to be extracted in either an ASCII or binary form, applying the transformation specified by the scale_factor and add_offset attributes. This tool allows one to feed the data of NetCDF variables (or HDF4 SDS) to other tools designed to operate on either ASCII (text) or raw (binary) data.
