Gemu is a Gnome application designed to configure sound cards based on the EMU10K1 platform from Creative Labs. Gemu is capable of adding, viewing and deleting audio routes, turning on Live Drive IR, turning on the 12db boost to the front/headphone jacks on Live cards, setting the S/PDIF frequency on Audigy cards, setting the recording source, turning on digital passthrough mode, setting to the analog or digital mode of the dual-mode jack of 5.1 cards, adding and seeing patches for sources and destinations, and controlling volume on a per-route basis or by source or destination.
SBackup is a simple backup solution intended for desktop use. It can back up any subset of files and directories. Exclusions can be defined by regular expressions. A maximum individual file size limit can be defined. Backups may be saved to any local and remote directories that are supported by gnome-vfs.
libsoup is an HTTP client/server library. It uses GObjects and the glib main loop and integrates well with GNOME and GTK+ applications. Since it is based only on glib, it can also be used in command line and daemon-based applications. It features both asynchronous (GMainLoop and callback-based) and synchronous APIs, automatically cached connections, SSL support using GnuTLS, and proxy support including authentication and SSL tunneling. Client support includes Digest, NTLM, and basic authentication, and server support includes Digest and Basic authentication.
GWCC allows users to execute network utilities (ping, nslookup, traceroute), workstation commands (netstat, df, lpr), and do cool things like process grep from a single tabbed window. Command flags are highly configurable, results windows are savable and printable, and there is a System Stats tab showing you process info, current users, Apache server status, Samba status, and more.
Smuxi is an irssi-inspired, flexible, user-friendly, and cross-platform IRC client for sophisticated users. Smuxi is based on the client-server model: The core application (engine) can be placed onto a server which is connected to the Internet around-the-clock; one or more frontends then connect to the core. This allows the connection to IRC to be kept up even when all frontends have been closed. The combination of screen and irssi served as the example for this architecture. Smuxi also supports the regular single application mode. This behaves like a typical IRC client; it doesn't need separate core management and utilizes a local engine that is used by the local frontend client.
