ZiK is an audio player based on gstreamer. It uses the path of your audio files instead of a music library. Audio files are shown on the left panel as they would be in a browser. The right panel is dedicated to the playlist. Both panels can be shown or hidden. ZiK uses your GTK theme. All formats supported by gstreamer, CDs, and webradios can played.
Xurgency is a terminal/console application for the Gnome Desktop to inform the user by flashing the taskbar if a process like emerge, make, wget, or updatedb is ready. For your convenience, ready-made 'Emerge', 'Make', 'Wget', and 'Updatedb' scripts are provided, but it will work with all console programs.
The chemical-mime-data package is a collection of data files to add support for various chemical MIME types on Linux/Unix desktops, such as KDE and GNOME. Chemical MIME types were proposed in 1995, though it seems they have never been registered with IANA. But they are widely used, and the project's aim is to support these important but unofficial MIME types. Initial data was taken from "The Chemical MIME Home Page" of Henry Rzepa.
