WebAPP NE is a content management system (CMS). The name "WebAPP NE" is an abbreviation of "Web Automated Perl Portal Networks". It features articles, forums, nested message boards, a private instant messaging system, a list of who's online, profile information, a member list, download and link sections, statistics with advanced sorting options, a web-based site administration control panel, and custom welcome messages for guests and registered members.
jBoom is a program for remote storage and management of browser bookmarks and mail addresses. It allows accessing a central set of bookmarks and addresse from any system connected to the Internet. It is browser, mailer, and system independent, not bound to a dedicated server, and doesn't require a special Web service. The bookmarks are kept in an XML file on the remote system. A local copy can be stored on the client. The program may be started from the client or over the Internet from an HTTP server. Entries can be activated from the main window or the system tray.
ArahPaint4 is a textile-oriented paint program, mainly for jacquard. It is a simple paint program for raster palette images. It has good tools for drawing images in repetition, support for handling palette images (color reduction, substitution, protected, transparent colors), contour tools, layer support, unlimited undo/redo, support for drawing in aspect ratio (pixels need not be square), a two level grid, and a coordinates display. It is simple, stable, fast, and works well on large images (>8000x8000).
TheCurves is an application that plots a parameterized family of curves based on algebraic formulas specified by the user. It is meant as an educational tool for mathematics, physics, and engineering. When the program is run as an applet in a Web page, the plot parameters and formulas are configurable by HTML and dynamically scriptable, so that the applet can be initialized to present a specific plot when the page is opened or to change plots when the user clicks on a control in the Web page.
Quizdrill is a learning-by-testing program to quickly learn tasks that mostly involve memorizing, like vocabulary. Quizdrill supports multiple choice, simple quiz, and flashcard testing. Although still quite primitive, Quizdrill asks questions which have been answered right more often than others to improve learning efficiency. Quizzes can be easily created by editing simple text files or can be automatically built from Infobox-style templates of Wikipedia dumps (or other MediaWikis and even Semantic MediaWikis).
