The Launcher is a multifunctional launch panel to open applications, Web sites, and search engines, run commands, perform calculations, and check the dictionary. Shortcuts lets you assign system wide shortcuts to any applications, Web sites, and files, and to execute system actions and scripts.
AKVIS HDRFactory creates HDR images from a series of photographs taken at different exposures or from a single photograph. This technique generates stylized images with fabulous colors and unique effects. The software also includes an efficient deghosting tool for removing artifacts that sometimes appear when combining photos with moving objects. It can also be used for photo correction.
Quizdrill is a learning-by-testing program to quickly learn tasks that mostly involve memorizing, like vocabulary. Quizdrill supports multiple choice, simple quiz, and flashcard testing. Quizzes can be easily created by editing simple text files or can be automatically built from Infobox-style templates of Wikipedia dumps (or other MediaWikis and even Semantic MediaWikis).
Elxis is a CMS that was initially based on Mambo. It natively supports UTF-8 encoding, creates multilingual Web sites, has a multilingual administration environment, performs automatic translations, supports multiple databases, and features access and user management. You can also change the look and feel of your Web site, based on the selected language. There is a mechanism that allows you to create subscriptional or multilevel content. Elxis can be extended by converting existing PHP applications or by briding with other Web sites or applications.
Jasymca is an interactive system for solving math problems. It supports arbitrary precision numbers and symbolic variables. Scalars, vectors, and matrices can be built from all datatypes and used in calculations. From the pseudoinverse of symbolic matrices over trigonometric simplifications to symbolic solutions of integrals and systems of equations, the main functionalities of CAS-programs are provided. Additionaly, high performance numerical routines from LAPACK and a plotmodule are implemented. The user interface can be selected from either an Octave/Matlab/SciLab-like language or a GNU-Maxima style. Three versions of Jasymca are provided to cover almost any computer platform: a midlet version for portable devices like cell phones or PDAs; a Java application for desktop PCs, laptops, and workstations; and an applet which can be integrated in Web pages.
