SortImagesGUI is a Java Swing application for sorting still images from digital cameras by capture date from the EXIF header. The images are sorted into subfolders by year, month, and day. Most of the EXIF-metadata are inserted into a MySQL database with the MD5 sum of the image file as a primary key. This makes it easy to find out if an image already exists.

Pigalle (PIcture GALLEry) is a slick Web based photo album written in PHP 5. It makes it easy to create and maintain photo albums via an intuitive interface, as users need only upload their files to a server and let the program generate thumbnails for them. Visitors can choose their preferred image resolution and images will be generated on the fly. These generated images are cached and all meta-information such as album descriptions, image information, and user settings are stored in a database. A back-end administration interface helps to manage the files, edit the descriptions, and so on, making it very easy and convenient.
x4juli is a port of the main parts of log4j to the J2SE Logging API. The interface and use of the original API has not been changed. Additionally, x4juli delivers a native implementation of the Jakarta Commons Logging (JCL) API and the Simple Logging Facade for Java (SLF4J) API.
