GCompris is an educational software suite with numerous activities for children aged 2 to 10. Some of the activities are game-orientated, but nonetheless still educational. These include computer discovery (keyboard, mouse, different mouse gestures), algebra (table memory, enumeration, double entry table, mirror image), science (the canal lock, the water cycle, the submarine, electric simulation), geography (place the country on the map), games (chess, memory, connect 4, oware, sudoku), reading practice, and others (learn to tell time, puzzles of famous paintings, vector drawing, cartoon making, etc.). It currently offers in excess of 100 activities, and more are being developed.
Kpl is a KDE program for two- and three-dimensional graphical presentation of data sets and functions (plotter). Multidimensional nonlinear parameter fits of functions to data sets can be performed using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. General linear least square parameter fits are also possible. A D-BUS interface can be used to control Kpl by other applications and scripts.

X File Explorer (Xfe) is a filemanager for X. It is based on the popular, but discontinued, X Win Commander. Xfe is desktop independent and is written with the C++ Fox Toolkit. It looks similar to Windows Commander or MS-Explorer, and is very fast and simple. It features file associations, the ability to mount/umount devices, a directory tree for quickly changing directories, the ability to change file attributes, automatic registry saving, the ability to view/create/extract compressed archives, and much more.
The edit-on JavaBean SDK is a customizable, feature-rich JavaBean that allows developers to add WYSIWYG editing functionality to their AWT- or Swing-based applications. It features an intuitive word processor-like user interface that enables XHTML content authoring with XML markup, and has a royalty free run-time license.
