Outwit is a suite of tools based on the Unix tool design principles allowing the processing of Windows application data with sophisticated data manipulation pipelines. The outwit tools offer access to the Windows clipboard, the registry, the event log, relational databases, document properties, shell links, and the event log.
Colorer Library provides source text syntax highlighting and text parsing services for host applications. It colorizes source code on host editor systems in more than 100 formats. It uses the powerful HRC format (XML, regexp, context-free grammars), allowing it to support any language. The parser can search and build lists of special text tokens (function lists, syntax errors) and search and indent programming language constructions (brackets, paired tags).
tkscript is a JIT-accelerated C-like scripting language with bindings for OpenGL, SDL, SDL_net, libpng, and zlib. A plugin SDK can be used to dynamically extend the script engine with custom C functions and C++ classes. It can be used to create portable, 3D, OpenGL-accelerated multimedia applications.
ACFTools is a utility for manipulating X-Plane flight simulator aircraft and weapon models without using its Plane Maker. It can decode both Apple and Intel ACF/WPN formats into plain text files with a syntax similar to C, which can be edited and then re-converted into binary data. It is able to extract almost complete 3D models of aircraft (fuselage, floats, tanks, wings, stabs, propellers, engines) and write it in AC3D modeler format. Edited 3D parts can then be merged into plain text and consequently converted into binary ACF files.
JTLT is a general text based templating system that is very easy to use and powerful. It can be used for almost anything, including code generation for translators/compilers and HTML output for Java servlets. It features replaceable keys, nested block structures, an extensible macro system (even keys are implemented as macros), a separation of parsing and output generation, a separation of macro settings and parsing, in-memory caching of parsed templates, weak typing, and extensive documentation.
Lucas_Dambergs enables you to link typed text to a specific time of a QT movie, DVD, or VIDEO_TS folder. It can be useful for attaching notes to specific parts of a recorded video. This software inserts the time index into a text file whenever you need it. Once a time index is linked to a set of notes, you can just click on the index to jump back to the selected scene. On opening a new movie or by selecting the "save text" button, the text file with your notes is saved in the folder specified by your preference settings. When you open a movie file that already has an associated text file, this text file will also open.
The Stylus/Handwriting Input Panel (SHIP) is a system for gesture text entry for Tablet computers using an X11 user interface. Text may be entered from an on-screen keyboard or by handwriting (either printed or cursive handwriting), but this requires a server application (which is included) to be installed on a copy of Windows Tablet XP or Vista.
WizardRMS is a collection of Perl CGI scripts for managing historical archives of application reports and other flat text files. It features cross-date/cross-report search capabilities, individual logins, plain English audit logs, per-report access restrictions, PDF report rendering, and CD-R daily archive backup.
Trowser is a browser for large line-oriented text files (such as debug traces). It's meant as an alternative to "less". Compared to less, trowser adds color highlighting, a persistent search history, graphical bookmarking, separate search result windows, and flexible skipping of input from pipes to STDIN. Trowser has a graphical interface, but is designed to allow browsing via the keyboard at least to the same extent as less. Key bindings and the cursor positioning concept are derived from vim.
