WorldStation is a Java-based control panel to control the Ten-Tec DSP RX-320 shortwave receiver. The RX-320 is a "black box" radio which has no front-panel and is controlled via your PC's serial port. With an appropriate antenna, the RX-320 will allow you to listen to thousands of broadcasts from around the world. WorldStation features integrated Xbase frequency database support and advanced scanning to allow the user to visualize the radio spectrum.
Teddy is an OpenGL-based 3D graphics library written in C++. Its main features are simple scene graph and windowing system-enabling multiple cameras, camera windows, and scenes. It focuses on easy and flexible manipulation of models and model materials in the scene graph. It contains a number of primitive objects like sphere, box, and cone, and it can load LightWave object and scene files.
FreeJ is a vision mixer: an instrument for realtime video manipulation used in the fields of dance and theater performance, veejaying, medical visualization, and TV. With FreeJ, multiple layers can be filtered through effect chains and then mixed together. The supported layer inputs are images, movies, live cameras, particle generators, text scrollers, and more. The resulting video mix can be shown on multiple and remote screens, encoded into a movie, and streamed live to the Internet. FreeJ can be controlled locally or remotely from multiple places at the same time, using a slick console interface. It can be automated via JavaScript and operated via MIDI and joystick.
The Robot Auto Racing Simulator (RARS) consists of a simulation of the physics of cars racing on a track, a graphic display of the race, and a separate control program (robot "driver") for each car. The goal of the game is to implement such a control program in order to compete against other programmers. An official formula one season is held every year.
