Afghan Hound Quote of the Day Daemon uses both TCP and UDP port 17 to return a random quote from fortune(6) style quote files. It has performance benefits over other programs which use fortune(6) to source their quotes. The server also includes the ability to limit the number of client connections per second. Client and benchmarking programs are included in the package.
Aleph One is a 3D first-person shooter game based on the game Marathon 2 by Bungie Software. It is set in a Sci-Fi universe dominated by deviant computer AIs and features a well thought-out plot. Aleph One was originally a MacOS game, but a cross-platform version ("Aleph One/SDL") based on the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) library is currently under development which runs under Unix, BeOS, and Windows.
bacKgammon is a backgammon program specifically written with the KDE in mind. It offers the opportunity to play backgammon games by using a convenient and intuitive graphical user interface. bacKgammon is the successor of KFibs, and supports all its features such as a graphical board representation, drag and drop with automated move checking, an intuitive interface to FIBS, and eliminates the need for typing and (learning) the commands of FIBS.

Black Penguin comes with 16 levels, runs under X11 with Qt and/or KDE, has rendered graphics, sound support is not implemented yet.
