Pootle is a Web-based translation and translation management tool. It provides a rich set of features for mangaging a translation project. It integrates components of the Translate Toolkit to provide error checkers for translation messages and the ability to download files in a number of formats: PO, XLIFF, CSV. Pootle can also provide compiled PO files for download. You can use it to assign work to translators in your team, and you can define goals to help focus the efforts of your translation. Pootle can run without a Web server or be proxied through your existing Apache server.
Whyteboard allows you to annotate PDF and PostScript documents and various image formats. You can draw with common tools such as a pen, rectangle, ellipse, text tool, etc. You can draw shapes, which can be moved, resized, recoloured, etc. Your drawing history is stored, allowing you to replay it. Tabbed painting is supported, with each sheet having its own unlimited undo and redo operations. There are live-updating thumbnails for each sheet. Arronax is a plugin for Nautilus (the GNOME default file manager) to create and modify application starters (".desktop files"). It adds the menu item "Create starter for this file" to the context menu (the menu you get when you right-click a file in the file manager). If the file is an application starter, you get the item “Modify this starter” instead. If you have icons enabled on your desktop, Arronax adds the menu item “Create starter” to your desktop’s context menu.
KMid2 plays MIDI and karaoke files to hardware MIDI devices or software synthesizers. It supports playlists, MIDI mappers, tempo (speed) control, volume and pitch (transpose) controls, and configurable character encoding, font, and color for lyrics. The graphic views include a rhythm view (visual metronome), a channels window with solo/muting controls and instrument selectors, and a piano player window (pianola).
