Additional protocols supported: FTP over HTTP proxy, HTTPS and FTP over SSL, BitTorrent protocol. IPv6 is fully supported. There are lots of tunable parameters, including rate limitation, number of connections limitation and more.
Universal File Mover (UFM) manages the transfer of files. The user combines a series of Action commands to create the UFM Workflow XML file. These Action commands define which actions are to be taken, the order of the actions, and how errors are to be handled. UFM processes the Action commands as per the UFM Workflow XML file. UFM currently contains 41 Action commands. These action commands fall into five categories: WebSphere MQ Actions, Network Actions, File Actions, Control Actions, and Other Actions. UFM can transfer files in one of five ways, using WebSphere MQ, FTP, SFTP, SCP, or HTTP.

It features a simple and powerful interface, history and Hotlist (bookmarks), a recursive directory menu of the entire filesystem tree, browsing FTP, sFTP, and adb directories as easily as normal directories, asynchronous file transfers, cached directory listings, asynchronous file operations, built-in command shell windows synchronized with file panels, extensibility by adding your own command buttons, and user-defined file pattern/actions.
G4L is a hard disk and partition imaging and cloning tool. The created images are optionally compressed, and they can be stored on a local hard drive or transferred to an anonymous FTP server. A drive can be cloned using the "Click'n'Clone" function. G4L supports file splitting if the local filesystem does not support writing files larger than 2GB. The included kernel supports ATA, serial-ATA, and SCSI drives. Common network cards are supported. It is packaged as a bootable CD image with an ncurses GUI for easy use.
edtFTPj/PRO is a Java library that performs secure file transfers. It supports FTPS (FTP over SSL), both explicit and implicit modes, and SFTP (FTP via SSH). It also supports asynchronous transfers and FTP connection pools. All major FTP operations are supported, including both active and passive modes. It provides a progress monitor interface, allowing applications to receive progress updates for their file transfers. The library is built on the open source edtFTPj and shares its API.
