AnomicFTPD is an RFC959-compliant FTP server with OS- independent user and group management. Active and passive modes, non-root mode, and anonymous and/or read-only modes are supported. A built-in client IP filter acts as a firewall and provides additional access limitation. The server has no online interface; attributes, groups, and user accounts are configured through text files. The protocol/ format-unspecified LIST command produces output that is compatible with most FTP clients, including common Web browsers in FTP mode.
Aftpd is an FTP server for anonymous access designed for Unix-like operating systems. It uses an asynchronous model of connection processing and provides service for all users within a single process; can use multiple threads to run more efficiently on multi-core systems, with each thread serving multiple clients simultaneously; uses effective mechanisms of transferring files, minimizing copying of data in RAM (sendfile or a combination of the system calls mmap/writev); uses effective event notification schemes (kqueue on FreeBSD and epoll on Linux); uses poll or select in older systems; and supports IPv6. For safety, it works as an unprivileged user and uses chroot.
AnyClient is a platform-independent file transfer application that supports all major file transfer protocols including FTP/S, SFTP, and WebDAV/S. It is available both as a Web-based service requiring no software installation, and as a downloadable application that you can install locally.
Beeweeb Internet File Server Workgroup for Windows is a secure and fast alternative to complex and expensive VPN solutions. It enables users connecting from the Internet to access, backup, and share files stored on any file server, just as you would do within a LAN. The BWB protocol includes SSL encryption and allows direct access to files, avoiding time-consuming downloading and uploading procedures. It is easy to install and configure. Users log on to the server by means of the Beeweeb's thin free client (Beeweeb Mapper) with just an address (i.e. username@servername) and a password. It is scalable to serve up to thousands of users, and it is a perfect solution for ISPs and hosting providers who wish to offer innovative online storage, backup, and file-sharing services.
CD Linux Server is an embedded Linux system on a bootable live CD. It can be used to set up mail, Web, file, FTP, proxy, DHCP, DNS, MySQL, LDAP, and other services very quickly. The mail server includes antivirus, antispam, and mail recorder features. It can be used for free for up to 10 accounts, while the advanced version is licensed for an unlimited number of users. There is not any restriction against the time.
DataReel is a free, cross-platform database and communications toolkit. It can be used to rapidly develop and deploy multi-threaded database and communications applications. The DataReel toolkit is composed of a modular C++ library designed to build cross-platform infrastructures for end-user applications, embedded systems, and reusable libraries. DataReel's unique modular design simplifies adaptation, allowing you to determine the level of complexity. DataReel makes Internet connectivity and database programming easy.
DeleGate is a multi-purpose application level gateway or proxy server that mediates communication of various protocols, applying cache and conversion for mediated data, controlling access from clients, and routing toward servers. It translates protocols between clients and servers, converting between IPv4 and IPv6, applying SSL (TLS) to arbitrary protocols, merging several servers into a single server view with aliasing and filtering. It can be used as a simple origin server for some protocols (HTTP, FTP, and NNTP).
Fedut is a Java Swing-based application. The goal of this application is to provide an easy-to-use open standard method for moving data between computer systems. It has support for multiple FTP, SMB, WebDav, and NFS host connections, a secure socket layer for the control and data connection, host to host file transfers, complete directory transfers, resume aborted file transfers, built-in FTP server (peer to peer single user, SSL), file encryption, MD5 transfer results, and file viewing.
