F*EX (Frams' Fast File EXchange) is a Web based service for sending very big files from one person to another. The sender uploads the file to the F*EX server and the recipient automatically gets a notification email with a download URL. Files are automatically deleted after download or an expiration date. The recipient and sender only need an email program and a Web browser. Sending to multiple recipients needs storage on the server only once. In contrast with other file transfer services, it has no file size limits at all and comes with shell tools for scripting up/downloading.
publish-ftpd is a non-anonymous read-only FTP and HTTP server. It requires no external programs other than a few standard Perl modules loaded at startup, and no configuration files other than the binary password and MIME-types files created by publish-ftpd-maint, its companion maintenance program. It provides neither high performance nor high security, and should not generally be used for serving files to the Internet.
WWE is a small perl CGI program written to allow people who only have FTP access to their Web sites to edit their pages using a Web browser. Although it can be used to edit any text file accessible over FTP, it has features designed to "dumb down" maintenance of static Web sites, so people who don't know any HTML can add or edit text without having to worry about breaking the layout.
lftpsearch is a set of Perl scripts that are searching for files and directories on FTP servers. There is the searcher, the indexer for getting the lists of all the files and directories at remote FTP servers, and the onliner for checking whether FTP servers are online. It supports "+" (or " ") and "*" in search queries, page splitting at search results, searching on online servers only, searching for files/directories only, searching for size limited files, caching, and Russian names. It also shows some statistics on servers (files/directories amount and total size). Initially, it was created to be used over LANs.
