SQL Uniform is a database comparison and SQL query program. It is a database client with a graphical user interface. It supports any kind of database and database servers to which there is an ODBC or JDBC standard driver. It has been tested on Access, Adabas D, DaffodilDB, dBASE, Excel, HSQL, IBM DB2, Interbase (Firebird), JDataStore, Linter (Relex), McKOI, Mimer, MSSQL, MySQL, Openlink Virtuoso, Oracle, Paradox, Pervasive (Btrive), Pointbase, PostgreSQL, Solid, SQLITE, Sybase, ThinkSQL, and Yard.
The Feature Data Objects API provides a generic, command-based interface to a number of back-end data source technologies for storing, retrieving, updating, and analyzing GIS (Geographic Information System) data. A provider is a specific back-end implementation of the FDO API that provides access to data stored in a particular data source technology.
radlib is a C language library developed to abstract details of interprocess communications and common Linux/Unix system facilities so that application developers can concentrate on application solutions. It encourages developers to use a proven paradigm of event-driven, asynchronous design. By abstracting interprocess messaging, events, timers, and any I/O device that can be represented as a file descriptor, radlib simplifies the implementation of multi-purpose processes, as well as multi-process applications. In short, radlib is a sincere attempt to provide real-time OS capability on a non-real-time OS.
Sqlkit provides a GUI named sqledit to edit data in a database, as well as a package (sqlkit) in PyGtk. Sqledit (the application) can be run from the command line with arguments and will pop directly into the table/mask of the data, or without arguments and will present an input mask to write the database URL. Sqlkit (the Python package) provides SqlMask and SqlTable, two widgets for editing database data. It is meant to be used as a base for database desktop applications.
odbcpp is an ODBC C++ library wrapper. The ODBC library itself is a low level C library that has many functions, all of which could return errors. This wrapper checks for errors on every single call to the ODBC interface, so if an SQL statement, a connection, or anything else fails, an exception is generated.
xplain2sql converts files from Xplain to SQL. It supports a very large subset of Xplain, and it can convert from Xplain to Microsoft SQL Server, DB/2, Inprise InterBase, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL 5, SQLite 3 or ANSI-92 SQL. It can also generate an XML description of the generated SQL. This XML description can be used to create low-level middle-tier code. Example stylesheets for Eiffel/ECLI and Delphi/ADO are included. The C source code release should compile on any platform with an ANSI C compiler. There are binary releases for FreeBSD, Linux, Solaris x86, and Windows 2000.
EFEU is suitable for handling data cubes, which are especially useful for building data warehouses. It consists of a building system including mkmf (a xmkmf like Makefile generator), esh (a powerful C/C++ interpreter), efeudoc (a document generator with different output formats (LaTeX, HTML, roff, etc.)). EFEU has a huge set of C library core features, including robust memory allocation tools, functions to concatenate and copy strings with memory allocation, buffers for dynamically-growing strings and fields, data structures with reference counters and garbage collection, and file tools that allow you to specify pipes wherever a filename is expected and support automatic implementation of (de)compression filters (gzip) depending on filename extensions. It also includes a high-level interface to files, strings, and anything else you can read from or write to.
