WCN:Talk (originally called "FutureForum") is a Web discussion forum written in Perl and MySQL. It has many options, including message selection and sorting on the top index page. It also has collapsible branches, a menu that toggles between 'no menu', 'simple', and 'advanced' modes, full text search capability, the ability to send email to the admin and original poster, and many other features. It includes password protection, HTML templates, file uploads, message subscription, multiple discussion sections, and a lot more.

The Scout Portal Toolkit (SPT) is a turnkey software package that allows groups or organizations who have collections of knowledge or resources they want to share via the Web to put that collection online without a big investment in technical resources. Forumtalk is the collective name for an Apache module and a server which, together, can be used to create high performance Web forums. The Apache module allows for special Forumtalk-tags to be placed within HTML templates which will be replaced by forum data. Currently, the server can store its data in a MySQL or a PostgreSQL database. Communication between the forum server and the Apache module is in XML, which makes it possible to easily extend Forumtalk with new clients.
bbgun moves phpBB forums to WordPress blogs. bbgun pulls a forum entry from the phpBB database, translates the text (bbCode to strict XHTML), date, and other fields, and pushes the translated entry into the WordPress database. With bbgun, you can move individual posts, move entire threads, move only certain users' posts, map phpBB users to WordPress authors, and specify WordPress categories for the new entries.
