Vulpive is webcomic archive software with all of the common features of other online comics, plus some fairly novel ones. Comics can be uploaded for particular dates in advance, and will appear at midnight. There is a separate "calendar view" where comics can be browsed by thumbnail. Three different layout modes are available. Commentary for individual comics is supported. Plot arcs can be organized into chapters. It is easily skinnable by anyone with basic HTML or CSS experience. An automatic RSS feed is provided.
Entrance is a program for browsing MySQL databases. It includes a "match box" search facility that is simlar to the Mac's Spotlight. Entrance can create charts based on query results, and these charts can be zoomed and panned. Entrance also supports an innovative feature called "data painting" that allows users to select and paint data points interactively.
Karra is a flexible, Web-based, multi-lingual system for creating digital libraries of images, documents, URLs, and associated metadata. It could be used to archive and organise an organisation’s photo collection, providing a historical record. It could be used in scientific study where images of particular items need to be stored with data or geographical information. Textual information can be included with each item, creating a valuable repository of data and providing a way to search for records later.
Surftree is an applet that displays data organized in a spreadsheet as an expandable tree on a Web page. The tree can be 9 levels deep and have over 65,000 nodes. Each node can display up to 4 independent Web pages or JPG images. It works with Java 1.0 and 1.1+ and in any Web server environment.
Alexandria is a GNOME application to help manage a book collection. It retrieves book information (including cover pictures) from several online libraries, allows you to search for a book (either by EAN/ISBN, title, authors, or keyword), can import and export data into ONIX, Tellico, and EAN/ISBN-list formats, generates Web pages from your libraries, allows marking your books as loaned, saves data using the YAML format, features an HIG-compliant user interface, shows books in different views that can be filtered or sorted, and handles book rating and notes.

photos is a Web-based photo database for storing metadata about digital photos so you can find them again later. It supports adding photos one at a time, or as a group by directory. It is intended to be run locally but can be run on a remote Web server if you've got the space and the bandwidth.
